Y'know, we always see posts about the C&TSRR (which is as it should be!) and also D&S, WP&Y, EBT, SV and (of course) the GLR but there is another narrow gauge railroad in Colorado!
I know that it runs 2ft gauge trains about a mile or two and that it is a neat little railroad! Surprisingly, very little is mentioned here on this forum!
I know that the gauge is not what originally ran there and that the engines seem almost toylike compared to a K-36 but it IS steam and it IS narrow gauge! What is the history of this railroad. What are the plans for the future? What is currently happening with this unique little road?
One thing that I remember from riding it is that the back of the ticket had the railroad running all the way to Victor (about another mile and a half or two) but that the tracks just stopped! If I recall an earlier visit the same situation presented itself! Are plans for expanding the grade and trackage just a "pipe dream" or is there a concerted effort to actually follow through with them?
