Vance Junction coal pocket

A few posts below is a link to a site about remains of the Rio Grande Southern. That site links to some recent photos of the Vance Junction coal pocket. Looking at the photos, I had a random thought that a D&RGW high side gondola would look good displayed at the coal pocket to help show what it was used for and how it worked.
That said, would it be possible to get a high side gon to vance Junction? Who owns the land (I assume the Forest Service) and would they let you do such a thing? Would a car survive at Vance Junction or would people strip it for "souvieners" and fire wood? Is there any interest in the idea of putting some og the ng cars out there back in their "home environment"?
