"permanant caboose red"

January 02, 2005 10:41AM
I was looking at the fine print on page185 of Bob Sloan's remarkable freight car compendium . The folio sheet was for a 4-wheel caboose m, amnd instuctions called for the caboose to be painted "permanant caboose red" with the ends and roof walks painted "mineral brown", the color used for freight cars up the end of narrow gauge operations . Any educated guesses what "permanant caboose red" looks like ?
