Narrow Gauge around the World *LINK* *PIC*

Another shameless plug for my latest picture postings. The pix go from Mexico to Argentina so far, and will probably rest there for awhile. There is even a DRGW ng. connection. These travels started when I could no longer find a train on Cumbres to chase.
In particular you might be interested in the meter gauge 2-6-6-2's on the EFDTC in Brazil....built by Baldwin in 1950....and kind fun to imagine climbing Cumbres. The Esquel line in Argentina is my favorite, 251 miles of 75 cm. steam railroading; both the countryside and the railroad make me think of the Carson and Colorado (200 miles too far or 200 years too soon, etc.). And finally, the Ferrocarriles Argentinos Belgrano line's climb through the Andes out of Salta (ramal C14) is one of the great railway journey's in the world, and it was still powered by 2-10-2's back then. And the Belgrano lines into the Chaco were powered by wood burners.
Enjoy. When I get to South Africa and Europe I will have to delete some of the current photos to make room.
