A while back I mentioned that I had some pictures I took of the Army's diesel--3000--in Durango and I had a couple of responses from list members who wanted to see them for some strange reason. I located them and am having them scanned and will be happy to forward to anyone interested. Both are from August 1957 and one is on the turntable and the other is of it sitting in the roundhouse in the stall next to the 473.It is interesting that the 3000 was taller than the 473, except for the smoke stack. The 473 also has a straight stack and rather large pilot foot boards in this picture.
