It's been a quick year. *PIC*

A year ago at this time, I was preparing to spend several days working on the "Pineapple", #19, asking John Hammond for assistance and talking with George Greenbaum, making plans. Pardon me for a moment while I digress into personal thought, but it just doesn't seem possible that a year has elapsed since then. While I am disappointed that I was not able to be part of the success of getting that locomotive into running order, I'm thrilled to have been able to be a part of the work a year ago. I thoroughly enjoyed working in Antonito, meeting some of the people there such as Marvin Casius, Carlos Llamas and some of the other crew members. This is probably as close as I will ever come to being a real railroader; I will say that working in that line of work is much heavier work than what I'm used to doing.
This photo I took one year ago on opening day at Hangman's trestle. Maybe I can make it to opening day again this year.
