stay bolts *PIC*

Hi,
Mom just showed me a rememberence published in Reminisce Magazine about a pair of guys who worked for Reading RR who built a live steam size locomotive to show glass stay bolts would work.
Maybe with today's polymers and Pyrex glass it would. If they can make glass stand up to a space shuttle launch, I think it is possible. Maybe just not cost effective.
It also has a short about someone who lived in a box car on the AT&SF when growing up.
The narrow gauge content is the Steamer that was built to less than standard gauge.
Since there was discussion about stay bolts a while back, I though this would be of interest.
