We finally did it. After many years of talk, my wife and I drove from Central Oregon to Georgetown and road the loop. Fantastic! It was a beautiful day and my wife Gail (the photographer in the family) took lots photos which included fall colors. I will post them when they return from the print shop.
Wow, that #40 sure barks! Could that possibly be due to the large diameter stack she has?
Thanks to Phil and Sam for the ride in the cab, and to "Preacher" Ryan for Conducting. It was a terrific ride. I got to talk with Skippy a few minutes and Phil took me on a tour of the "bank" (Silver Plume shops).
I wish you all well in your future paths.
