Folks,
I am just back from Maine, where I had a very nice nice visit at the WW&F Ry Museum. They had their #10 in steam. The Forney has sust completed a two year overhaul which worked on just about every part that moves on the engine.
It was a pleasure to see a 100 year old narrow gauge engine pulling a 110 year old wooden passenger car that was on home rails.
Thank you to James Patten (who posts here) for showing Arlene and I around on a very wet day as the remnents of a Florida hurricane moved through the neighborhood.
Yhis museum is a real go get'em group! If you are in the area go help out; if not send money!
Future plans include a new boiler for WW&F Ry #9, a water tank for the engines to drink from and more track for a better ride. And who knows what else!
For the book people out there, the fourth volume of the pictorial history on the WW&F will be out in November.
