N-C-O Employee Cottage news and fundraiser update

EMPLOYEE COTTAGE FUNDRAISER

We are so close! Please help us reach our goal of $30k. We have currently raised $25,000 to pay off the down payment of the employee cottage. A generous donor has offered a dollar-for-
dollar match up to $2500 to help finish the fundraiser.

That’s right, the last $2500 will be matched 1:1 to help us reach our goal of $30,000! To sweeten the pot, we are also lowering the level of donation to receive one of our limited print posters. For just $100 we will send you a thank you card and this beautifully designed print of the cottage.

Photos show the wood shake being replaced onto the front of the house as per its original design, the remodelling of the added on bathroom to create an ADA accessible bathroom, and the loading of a former N-C-O / PCRy / F&CC boxcar for transport to Alturas.

The N-C-O cottage has seen the major work on its phase 1 restoration completed and the building looks amazing! This spring, a new phase will start with replacement of most of the windows with period correct custom wood windows, further returning this narrow gauge artifact back to its N-C-O appearance.

The group has also made some major strides in rolling stock preservation and looking forward to a permanent museum.
