Here we have Sumpter Valley Ry. Mike #17 at Austin, Or. #17 received the Ruston stack in 1927 and was converted to oil in 1940. The decrepit board sidewalk suggests that the photo was taken later in this period. The photo is from a large collection of copy prints donated to our archive by Martin Hansen. The sort of wood grain swirl artifacts are on that print, so may go back to the original negative.
