Melody Ranch

I only look in here rarely, so this may have been posted before, but here is some info on Gene Autry's locomotives at his Melody Ranch movie set/tourist attraction, which burned in 1962. The engines are sometimes seen in old western TV series, as shown on the GRIT-TV channel, usually static and only for a few seconds. I've read they did move some of them a short distance with a bulldozer, where "operation" was depicted. There is also info on his purchase of ET&WNC No. 12, which he resold to Grover Robbins instead of moving it to California. The newspaper articles have the usual "choo choo" wording and technical mistakes, but are still interesting.
