Still sporting the old style herald in this August 1957 photo in front of the Durango depot.The next refrigerator car in line shows the more modern flying Rio Grande herald. These cars had been hauling beer for one of the local distributors."

Mick had his student trips on the RGS out of Durango, was a career high school teacher in Durango, worked the narrow gauge in the summers, and continued on with Charlie Bradshaw as the General Manager of the D&S after Bradshaw's purchase of the railroad in 1981."
