Here we see Sumpter Valley Railway's #251 posed for an engineer's side 3/4 shot. The presence of lumber loads makes this an east bound train. I suspect that the location is in the Bowen Valley a short distance out of South Baker, Oregon. The scan is from the Hardy Collection in the SVRR Archive.
