Emigrant Sleeper and Silver Vista

While riding on the train to the dedication of the Needleton Tank during Railfest Al Harper, owner of the D&S, strongly expressed a desire to restore the Pullman emigrant sleeper owned by the line and recreate the famed Silver Vista. The emigrant sleeper is in poor condition, and according to Harper, "needs immediate attention." Harper has been toying with the idea of replicating the Silver Vista for some time using modern materials/glass to avoid the "greenhouse" heating problem experience in the prototype. Budget and other priorities will determine if and when these projects move forward.
