NNG - Christmas during the Final Days of Steam on the N&W

For the past few years annually on Christmas Eve I've enjoyed listening to this O. Winston Link audio recording I found on YouTube. Kind of become a tradition of mine and I'd like to share it with you all too. Many of you will probably recognize the recording. N&W 4-8-4 #603 leads eastbound Train 42 The Pelican into the depot at Rural Retreat, VA shortly before 11pm on Christmas Eve, 1957 (Actually I believe the recording was really done on the 27th). Hauntingly beautiful. The sounds of steam's last breaths on the N&W, combined with the bells of the Grace Lutheran church playing Christmas hymns send chills up my spine. Enjoy.
