483 Restoration *LINK*

I understand that there is a group raising money for the restoration of K-36 483. I enjoy train music and would buy a copy of the CD that is being sold to raise money but before I do I would like to know how much money has been raised, how much they think they need and how long before the restoration will start.
I'm sure that the cost will go up the longer this fund raising takes.
I believe I also read some wherwe that the 483 HAS NEVER operated on the C & TS. If this is the case then what is that stuff coming out of 483's stack in the picture on Jessica Stacey's web site.
Probably it was stuck on a sidin g soon after the picture and it's condition has been worsening ever since. All locomotives that sit unused in the weather of that area must take a terrible beating.
