I was looking through vol 9 again. The picture on page 146 showing the Durango Roundhouse with Geese 2 and 4 is really interesting. The pic was taken in August 1941. Based on the boiler diameters, I think there is one K-37, two K-36s, and maybe a K-27 or a C class. I can not quite read the numbers on the number plates. The appears to be a loco in the stall just peaking out from behind Goose 4 and i think it has the air pump on front for a K-28.
I like the standard gauge ties under the spare wheel sets. I also see a front end plow sticking out from the left. I think it is one they mount on the K-27s.
On page 57 is a photo taken Sept 2, 1952 showing Goose 6 and D&RGW high side gon 9285 crossing a switch in Dolores. Since the gon is fouling the switch, I would guess the Goose is trying to move it. Could this be the scrappers?
