I was sent the following by a friend, who I think got it possibly from today's Durango Herald.
St. Ignatius Parish in Ignacio, Colo. is soliciting bids to purchase & remove the historic train station building that has served as a parish hall for many years. The building was also used in the movie "Around the World in 80 Days". It is located on approximately 3100 square feet floor space and includes 2 bathrooms, 2 forced-air heaters, 1 water heater, hardwood floors, a new propanel roof & wall-to-wall carpeting in about half of the building. The building has been appraised at its current location at $65,000 but must be moved and the foundation and site cleaned up by the successful purchaser no later than June 1, 2004. Bids may be submitted to the Parish Office between the hours of 9:00 am - 1:00 pm Monday through Friday until March 31, 2004. An inspection of the building may be made by appointment between the same hours by calling 563-4241. The Parish is open to and encourages any bid but reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
