Hi,
I lost my job last week and am packing stuff away in case I need to store it.
I came across my 1972 notes from riding the D&RGW to Silverton. I do not have the date of the trip, but the consist was 478, 330, 332, 336, 335, 126, 337, 403, 404, 312, 319, and 405.
The 330's are then "new" steel cars that have the metal corrigated to simulate wood siding. My Dad and I were in 335. 126 was still the baggage car/ commissary. 403, 404, and 405 were open rider gons (were they ex-6500's). Were 312 and 319 more recreations or were they wooden originals?
That makes it that I've ridden behind 478, 480, Eureka, and RGS Goose 5 on the Silverton. On Cumbres, I've ridden behind Eureka, 463, 484, 487, 488, 489, and 497.
I guess I need to catch 481, 482 and 486 for currently operable locos.
FYI, I also found my notes for the last private intercity passenger train I rode (Southern Crecent in 1979).
I also found my first attempt at scratch building (I was 13 when I attempted it in 1969) - it is an Nn3 D&RGW train set - 1 box, 1 gon, 3 flats, and a long caboose. Tacky as hell now, but I'm glad I kept them. It was not long after that I switched to HOn3 because locos were beyond me at the time

Sometimes I think I should dig through the junk more often.
Just wanted to share some memories. Hope you don't mind.
