An observation

February 21, 2004 10:26PM
Notice how the discussions about the SVRy and the WP&YR are concerned with operational history and present day succesful operations. In contrast, the endless discussions about the C&TS which dominate this forum are about problems, bickering, problems, and more problems. I've been on this forum for more than a year and the problems are the same and the same people are still bickering. If you folks spent as much effort cooperating as you do bickering, then maybe you'd have a succesfully operating railroad.
As the comic strip character Pogo once remarked - "We have met the enemy and it is us", or to quote a parable "Ye reap what ye sow"
I doubt if most of the rest of us give a flying fig about your petty quarrels and chronic problems.
I for one have grown mightily tired of your same old, same old, and really wish you'd take all your negativity over to the roadkill saloon and let this forum focus on Narrow Gauge Railroads.
The ongoing success of the SVRy, Tweetsie, EBT, Georgetown Loop, and the WP&YR has a lot to do with attitude.
The evidence speaks for itself.
