Baldwin WW I Trench Locomotive

February 21, 2004 05:57PM
I am doing some research into the 2-6-2T 60 cm. gage locomotives built by Baldwin, Davenport, and Vulcan for WW I use in France. I have the book "Narrow Gauge to No Man's Land" by Richard Dunn, and a copy of the side view of the Erecting Card #9245 for the Baldwin version. I am looking for some help on a few questions:
What color were these trench loco's painted? Dunn does not give a color, I suspect by the tone of the photos that it is either Battleship Grey or Light O.D. Green.
Does anyone know if the Erecting Card with the cross sections still exists and where it may be gotten?
Does anyone have contact information for Richard Dunn, who wrote this excellent book?
