FINALLY got my roll of film back of our Labor day weekend trip to Baker and Sumpter. That's when I snuck down and took pix and dimensions of the old SVRR "car shop" (?). Now there are more questions....
In the areal photo of the facilities there appears to be a long "cupola" on the roof of the building, which there is no sign of any more. I assume this was removed at some point long ago?
The bulding that sits next to it has a rather odd "floor plan" - Is part of it missing or ?
The reminants of paint appear to be good old oxide (barn) red. was that SVRR's std color for buildings? What about the window trim?
Any idea of the layout/contents of the interior of the shop?
Going to start scaling the elevation shots and do up some drawings tonight. Any blanks would be nice to fill in.
