21st century

Well, here we are in the 21st century. We are richer, very dedicated, emotional, and able to do so much more. The things we love were mostly produced from 1890 to maybe 1930-40. They are getting old and we strive to preserve and replace their parts so they continue to roll. I feel, with our collective resources, management skills and communication systems, along with the advances in technologies-- that the time is approaching when we can have completely new NG steam locomotives produced. Why not start investing now in order to have constructed a new (with internal modern systems) #9 SPNG, #9 NCNG, a new Unitah 2-6-6-2, or -- you all suggest something. Collectively they can be build and there are fabricators (in the US, England, Switzerland, China) that will do it. Your thoughts?
