I got the opportunity to look at a copy of Dormans "Salida" book today and ran across a picture of the 492 after it rolled over, I was amazed at the damage and that she saw service again. The damage seemed comparable to what the 485 looked like after its accident with the turntable in 1955. I for one am grateful it was returned to service and became one of the last group of locomotives in service until the end of operations. I wish I could get my hands on a copy of that particular book, very well done.
