US Army Baldwins for Queensland Aus

Was wondering if anyone can share some infomation on a World War II US Army Corps 2-8-2 design built by 5 US builders including Baldwin.
I believe around 800 were built all together, mainly 600 to metre gauge, the rest to 3' and 3'6". Being shipped to countries such as India, Greece, Ethiopia, Zaire, Ghana, Nigeria, Philippines and of Queensland, Australia, where I am from.
Of the 20 (Baldwin built Build Nos 69451 - 69470) that were shipped here in 1943, two remain intact. One of which, Number 221 (US Army Transportation Corps number) Builds No 69456, has just returned to service after a 4yr restoration by Queensland Rail Ipswich W'Shops after a 35 year break.

Was wondering if anyone would know of other locos of similar design in existance, what work they did, or if in fact this is indeed the only one of its kind in operating condition. Or if not, point me in another direction.
Owen.
