In reading over the material by Mr. Sinclair, I ran across a few things that I know Ive heard of but was hoping maybe someone could explain a little better.
Tri-Cocks: Im not sure what all situations I would need to use these for, but doesnt it have something to do with the sight-glass?
Valve Gear: What type do the K classes use, and why did the Grande use what they did for the K class?
Foaming Water: How often would something like this happen, and does it happen on the C&TS or D&S?
I was also wondering about how tricky it is to run a train down grade and working the brakes? As an engineer, would you find it harder to keep the train under control on a long downgrade or harder to pull upgrade and keep up steam? What are the most difficult areas to get the train through on the D&S and C&TS?
