New Narrow Gauge Tourist Railway

January 25, 2003 08:49AM
I just learned that there is a new tourist RR on the island of St. Christopher (St. Kitts) in the Carribean. It will run on an existing sugar cane railway that was built in 1912. The railway makes a 30 mile circle around the island. They have aquired ten new double deck cars and are making connections with cruise lines to carry passengers. I had a glimpse of the railway about 7 years ago and it appeared to be well maintained.
