I spoke with one of the current ranch (Banded Peak Ranch) managers yesterday.
The oilfield is out of production, all the wells have been capped.
The Hughes family still has some members associated with ownership of the ranch, but it's only a small portion of the original ranch.
I've been told that a current ranch employee, who lives in Chama, worked on the pipeline construction. I'm hopeful that I will be able to chat with him soon. He knows where the parts of the pipeline in the Navajo River valley that still exist are.
