I'm going to say this bluntly and straight, sorry in advance if I offend anyone. It depends on what era of the Rio Grande you like, if you want a 40's or 50's shot, then don't have the diamond stack (although didn't one K-28 have a different style diamond stack during the early 50's?)If you want a 60's shot, then have the diamond stack. If you want a modern day photo shot, then have the straight stack. Personally I think they look good with the diamond stack....AND....it's a part of history so you can't throw that stack out! I particularly like the 50's and 60's, and i'm sure there are others out there that feel the same. John
