Knott's GT&C RR Enthusiast Day

LAST CALL All you NG rail enthusiasts in the Southern California area! Knott's Railroad Enthusiasts Day is this Saturday 1/11/03 starting at 7:30 AM. Park in the Western Ave. guest parking lot and enter the park through the Western Ave. Gate. This is a special entry location for the train enthusiasts. For all you last minute guys (and Gals) The special tickets will be available at 7 AM at the Knott's Western Avenue Gate. A special freight train will be at that location to take you to the "Roundhouse" where you will have two and one half hours of backshop fun. The entire GT&C RR maintenance and operations crew will be there to "Show & Tell" Plus there will be many backstage "photo Ops." for all. The operational roster will include a freight train (#41, 3350, 5576, 9519 and 0402) in the Morning only. Passenger train (#340, plus consist to be announced) running all day. And in the Afternoon, the Galloping Goose celebrating its 50th year at Knott's. Also included in the Special package is a #340 TShirt and lunch in the Chicken Dinner Restaurant. And for an additional $8 have lunch in the "Durango" Eight modular model railroads of various gauges will be on exhibit all weekend. So come on out, join the fun and get your midwinter steam fix all at the same time. The park will be open till 10 PM, so night shots are in. George B.
