Just an update on what's going on in our neck of the woods:
With #30's tender completely restored and back in Central Park, Coach 280 restored, and the Caboose stabilized and in better shape then it's been in 20 (+) years, we're starting now to pursue the restoration of Colorado and Northwestern #30.
This grant includes an ultrasound on the boiler, paint, new woodwork for the cab, and some other stuff. The general idea is to make it look spectacular (we *know* that can be done) and get a general idea of how difficult further work will be. This is just the beginning - we'll be applying for further grants in the spring.
