I came across an interesting old newspaper article from 2002:

When I think about all the things that have happened in the narrow gauge world in the decade since the article was written -- the Georgetown Loop debacle, multiple C&TS operating companies came and went, the East Broad Top stopped running -- I realize just how serious Mr. Harper was when he said:
