Prototype for C&TS excursion boxcars

While rummaging around in my file cabinet this morning I found this picture of Alamogordo & Sacramento Mountain Railway tourist cars from the early 20th Century. I was told that this was the inspiration for the excursion boxcars in the early days of the C&TS. Bob Keller gave me the picture with the observation that if you look hard enough you can find a precedent for just about anything.



I suspect that this or similar has been posted here before but I figured I would share it for the edification of those who may have missed it. There is a good article with photos of the A&SM here.
