I am making an attempt to recreate the Sumpter Valley Railroad in MS Train Sim. (Also finishing up the sound files for the K-36). So far, I have the digital elevation mapped terrain, and part of Baker City done. The UP main is in, but none of the maps I've come up with show which trackage was dual gauge! I'm trying to recreate about 1935-40. Also, Ron Brinton said there was a wye on the other side of the river from the shops. Any info or map scans would sure help! Although the finished SVRR will be free, I'll ask that downloaders try to make a donation to the museum.
The D&RGW K-36 is about 2-4 weeks from release, and it is really a beauty! Probably the best engine so far in the Sim. The sound files have been a struggle, as the sim forces a set of compromises on you, which we try to work around! I have finishing touches, and it goes back to Julian. He's adding the front handrail and a couple other minor things, and the physics are being worked on for final tweaking.
Oh yeah, Tim Muir has made a dandy replica of caboose #5, complete with a vargas girl on the wall of the cupola. It's a great view from up there! Jon Davis, another top notch 3D modeler is working on Uintah 51 and SVRR 251 !
