Don't sneeze - you might start a wildfire.
This article gives a clue as to the nature of how paranoid some people have become about fires in Colorado. Horses starting a wildfire on pavement in the middle of town?!!!
Unbelievable.

COLORADO SPRINGS - Concern that horses could start a forest fire is putting a stop to a long-standing tradition in Colorado Springs. For the first time in 54 years, the Pike's Peak Range Riders won't clip clop through town.
The ride is to celebrate the Pike's Peak or Bust Rodeo. But because of the dry conditions, organizers say they won't ride their horses through town on July 20.
They say - although unlikely- the hooves could create a spark that could start a fire.
“It would be extremely remote,” said Lynn Spear, Range Ride organizer. “But you know a lawn mower sparked that fire in the Black Forest so you never know what's going to happen in these kinds of conditions.”
The riders will still celebrate with their traditional pancake breakfast. Another change this year: the rodeo will move indoors to the World Arena. Organizers promise the change in venue won't tame the rough and tumble action.
