Thomas fromTweetsie to Durango

Hey I thought Id give a small report on the Thomas event at Tweetsie. We hauled over 20,000 people over a 10 day period, and run over 520 miles with Thomas. It was a great success. We shipped it out to Durango Monday morning. Has it arrived yet? We never did have any trouble with Thomas but there were a few little things that made it interesting. The big thing was we had to make sure we isolated the whistle from the brake system when we were traveling down grade. The first time we blew the whistle it shot the brakes on a test run when the brake control was in the lap position. Also the smoke pills it uses works real well except for the fact that the smoke filled the cab of thomas and #12. It seemed the blower didnt have enough draft. Plus the smoke was beginning to give the engine crew head aches after a few runs. We used one of our fog machines in place of the smoke pills and it work great. I hope you all have a success with it.
