Some of the Maine narrow gauge museums and now the new Edaville RR have taken small Diesel engines into the museums to help between steam ups. Track work etc.
I find companies like Brookville made a number of these little engines for the steel industry.
My question is now, what took their place? Did rubber tires (trackmobiles) take the place of narrow rails or is there so little steel industry left in the United States that there is just no place left that needs "critters"?
Thanks guys, Ted
