I am continuing to work on my all time roster of the Edaville Railroad. There was an article about preserved steam in the October 1959 Railroad mag.
Says that one of F. Nelson Blount's standard gauge engines from the SP and T&NO was at Edaville. (He owned the ERR at the time) Today the engine is at the Mus of Transport in Galveston Texas.
Has anyone ever seen a picture of the SP engine at Edaville RR? The article had a lot of mistakes; but it was an early look at preservation. It has been reprinted on Stean Locomotive.com
What about other standard gauge? Besides the obvious B&M 1455 and the Flying Yankee.
For the modern Edaville scene, take a look at RYPN.org for a picture of a standard gauge 2-6-2 now in primer.
