Chapter 10 - now pulling in late . . .

. . . in the best tradition of the SPNG, which couldn't even die at the proper time, which Charlie probably figures was anytime before he got there. This chapter, in revisions, turned into the longest one to date - at one point, I thought about splitting it into two chapters.
A side note: so far, Chasing the Daylight has been remarkably clean, but Chapter 10 has finally forced me to admit that crusty old railroaders do not always express themselves in a G-rated fashion. Therefore, Grant Houston, Taylor Rush and Casey Carlson are forbidden to read this installment without adult accompaniment (and good luck finding one on this board . . . haven't even outgrown our toy trains yet!
