Winter D&S

Well it's winter, although there hasn't been much snow here in Durango to date. There has been one flanger run this year. It went out several weeks ago. Today the train went out with 7 cars and K-36 482. It featured the 64, Prospector, and Alamosa among others. The 478 is expected to make a test run on Friday (tomorrow.) We'll have to see how she does when she stretches her legs for the first time in several years. The brake piping was completed over the weekend and the air compressor was put on on Monday. Just a little up-date to keep everyone up-to-date. Hope you enjoy!

PS. I mentioned this in one of the other posts, but figured that I would restate it here. As of now, the D&S is planning on running 4 trains during peak season next year. Our current Timetable will be redone to allow for the changes. On Mon-Thurs, train 459 will depart at 8 for Silverton. Trains 461, 463, and 465 will depart daily at 8:30, 9:15, and 10:00 respectively. Should be another fun season!
