Ran across these pics in my "shoebox", taken at Roaring Camp in 1964. The first picture has quite of bit of interesting stuff...the Dixiana Shay with a loaded tourist train, ex-WSL 3 still in her WSL lettering while providing compressed air for track tools, some new track being laid on split redwood ties, and the sawmill in the background.
Apparently WSL 3 was only recently delivered from Tuolumne. She obviously has been regauged back to narrow gauge, but still has her WSL lettering. The guys on the roof look to be chipping paint, probably in anticipation of a new paint job.
Here's a bit of DRGW (and Sumpter for that matter). I need to check the date on this one because the 50 had just gotten to Durango in 1964....this must be from a later trip.
And finally some standard gauge SP, when the SP still served the sand plant at Olympia. This was the former South Pacific Coast ng. mainline from Alameda to Santa Cruz, which was later standard gauged, and then abandoned as a through route.
