As many of you know tonight and tomorrow despite rain we will be hosting our dinner on the Durango. In preparation for this years dinner train we brought the Durango in the shop for some cleaning, touch up work, and to service the break equipment. In addition to that work we sent out all 10 lounge chairs to be re-upholstered. One of our engineers has also decorated the Durango with some tasteful holiday decorations.
There are also rumors of a special consist tonight for the dinner train.
Ill post pics later tonight.
Now for the pictures. I have shots of 5 of the lounge chairs fresh from the upholstery shop. As well as some of the other things going on around the shop.
Here we see the Durango looking very empty without the lounge chairs.
In this shot we see the first 5 of the recovered lounge chairs(wraped in plastic to keep them clean) waiting to be reinstalled, Durango is in the background, and we can the second of our freshly painted Grand Sierra coaches. This coach was placed back in service at the Grand Sierra RR yesterday. Two more to be repainted.
Here is the first 5 chairs back in the Durango.
Now for and update on the 310. We have been installing window bars, and we also have most of the seat frames repainted.
And last but not leased we have berries on the vine outside the roundhouse!
