I hope this isn't bad mannered, but thought you might like this video of the Trustees inspection train on the final stretch of the Welsh Highland Railway (the parent Ffestiniog company is a registered charity so the senior Board are Trustees not Directors).
Her Majesty's Railway Inspectors have now approved the final link in the line for passenger traffic and I hope to be on a photo charter on November 6th. to 9th.
'Palmerston' (named after the British Prime Minister) was one of the first batch of four locomotives which showed in 1863 that narrow gauge steam was practical. The coaches are all original, the small 'bug boxes' also dating back to the 1860s.
