NNG: D&RGW Boxcar arrives at WPRM Portola.

A 1909 era boxcar for the Western Pacific Railroad Museum Steam Department has a new home in Portola, CA. This former Denver and Rio Grande car was donated to us by the Western Railway Museum and will be our machine shop and office car after some stabilization work. D&RGW 62962 was built in 1909 by ACF and was transferred to the Port Chicago, CA weapons depot sometime during WW2.
