This was the 3rd annual Geiger Press Tour for the North-Central Region Tourism group. Geiger is a well respected Tourism Specialty Public Relations firm from Florida, who has a strong reach into major journalist arena, and they do a fabulous job of organizing, selecting top notch, strong-producing & well-aligned journalists from TV, Radio and Print venues. They also escort the journalism group from start to finish.

Our region is unique in that we have taken that initial seed money from the State, combined it with partner funds...as in the case of this press tour...to allow us to promote and advertise our area well above and beyond this initial state money. The State Tourism Department has recognized our positive initiative and results and has used our region as an example of great results. The Region also received an award in 2008 at the Governor's Conference on Tourism for the "Most Successful PR Effort" of the year in the state with this specific press tour.
