Right On, Roger -
As it says at the top of the NGDF Home Page / Message List – and the composition page while editing – (emphasis mine)
:
"Rights to all posts are owned by their respective authors. All other content copyright 2000-2020 NGDF, all rights reserved."
Even that Wild-Eyed Foamer from California, Roosso, does his best to remember to add copyright "©" notices to photos from others used by permission — or at least to admit to "borrowing" a shot from another post. Whether it is a violation of copyright laws or not, it's just common courtesy to acknowledge the efforts of others, especially when re-posting a long or complex paragraph that obviously took considerable effort to research and/or compose. At minimum, a simple statement like
"As Willie Said," before citing someone else's work is a common courtesy we all should take the time to include in our posts.
- Sincerely,
Willie (Wm. Claude Johnson-Barr III, Esq.)
