A comment by Rich Muth on another thread made me think of this:

How many folks on this list are C&TS Docents? For those folks, how did they become Docents and what's the time commitment? is it possible to Docent only on weekends and or 1 other day of the week? Is there a need for or an over-abundance of Docents?

I live in Northern California but have a dream of summering in/near Chama and volunteering for the C&TS (my wife is a high school teacher with summers off and my job is a technical one that allows telecommuting).
