Hi,
I was mulling over the idea that there have been many alterations tot he C&TS since its founding.
1) removal of the west switch in Chama for the track in front of the station and the paving over of it by hwy 19. When did this occur? (I seem to recall a working switch was needed elsewhere.)
2) The Osier Loop. (I've ridden over it but do not recall when it was installed.)
3) The missing SG rail from the US 285 crossing to the "End of Third Rail" sign in Antonito.
4) I have ridden over the east end of the passing siding at Big Horn. I understand the switches at both ends have been removed.
5) The Cumbres siding that is paved over.
6) Kyle's Kink.
Any others and when did they occur. This is the history of the C&TS and I think it would be good to save that information also. Maybe post it on the Frieds site along with the roster.
