The Poway Midland Railroad

This one is former "backyard" railroad which is now a city park in Poway, CA. It is 42" gauge -- kind of unusual. The loco is a Baldwin 0-4-0 that was built in 1907 and spent its first 45 years working at a cement company. Later a private owner had it rebuilt to resemble a much older engine.

For a "tourist" train, it looks really good to me, and lacks the garish color schemes one typically sees on stuff like this. A couple years ago my wife and I got to ride in the cab, which was a real treat. Next time I hope to get some video.
